Lake Sherwood

Tucked in the hills around the world famous Sherwood Country Club, Lake Sherwood is the most exclusive community in the Conejo Valley. Behind the main gates are mansions with spectacular views of the lake, golf course, and surrounding hills. Outside the main gates are several other gated communities with beautiful homes that are slightly more affordable. When you enter through the large cast-iron gates of Sherwood Country Club, you get the sense you're entering a special place. As you make your way up the winding road past elegant, French-style country homes, you'll be amazed by the majestic views of the Santa Monica Mountains and Hidden Valley. The mountains behind several of today's fairways are the same peaks seen in the famous opening helicopter scene from the series M*A*S*H. And the fairways were once the rugged landscape for a backdrop in the Dukes of Hazzard. But two of the most famous Hollywood epics shot on the premises were the 1923 & 1938 versions of Robin Hood.

Lake Sherwood is an unincorporated community of about 1,500 residents in Ventura County. The area is almost completely residential with most residents using neighboring Westlake Village and Thousand Oaks for their daily needs.
