Newbury Park

Newbury Park is a town located mostly within the western Thousand Oaks city limits in Ventura County; about 28,000 of Thousand Oaks' 120,000 residents reside in Newbury Park. Lying within the Conejo Valley, Newbury Park borders the Santa Monica Mountains. It has consistently been ranked as one of the safest and most affluent cities in the United States; the median household income is about $107,300 and has consistently had one of the lowest crime rates in California. With that being said, Newbury Park has lost of luxurious real estate and highly sought out neighborhoods, including Dos Vientos and Rancho Conejo. On another note, the city is politically considered to be a stronghold for the Republican Party. When it comes to entertainment, the Spring Art & Crafts Festival and the Newbury Park Jazz Festival are annually held at the local high school. In addition, the city is home to museums such as the Stagecoach Inn Museum and the Satwiwa Native American Indian Culture Center.
